We've been to the Kangar library lately to dig out some of the books about hobbies, took some pictures, went through them and came up with reviews on these books. So, here goes.
GUIDE TO GARDENING
As the title says, this book is a guide to gardening. It guides readers to basic gardening, allowing them to create their own garden the way they like it, then maintain it so that it looks good all year round. It also contains mini guides to help readers to plant trees the right way. One of the pages are as shown below :
This books tell not only about simple gardening. It also contain contents which comprises of ways to choose the type of plants that suit your garden, whether if it is for decoration purposes or if the garden is for plants that is actually edible. It tells which plants is suitable to be planted in which soil, how easy it is to care for them and such.
Besides, the book also provide a short guide to teach readers how to use tools in gardening. For example, in the image below, there are guides on using a rake, a garden fork and a hoe.
In general, all of us think that the book can be easily understood and taught us something that we never knew before about gardening. As people say, learning process goes on for a lifetime. Without further ado, lets move on to the next book we found about flower arrangements.
We practically found two books about flower arrangements, both stunned us with how beautiful the end result of flower arrangements can be and how it requires skills to perform. So, below will be the first book we found.

Opening this book, we found something extraordinary. Flowers of all kinds, made into beautiful breathtaking crafts that we crave to own the moment we saw them. So this book, actually shows how to arrange flowers for special occasions, not to mention for festive seasons.
Besides, it also have some very attractive guides that teaches us the basics of flower arrangements. This includes a step-by-step guide, fully illustrated with diagrams to help readers do it at ease! This book basically teaches us to put flowers together to form a new object.

If the 1st book was all about putting dried flowers together, this book is more to arranging flowers in a vase or a cup. The work of art in this book is also undeniably eye popping! Before going through all the complicated arranging process, this book guides readers to selecting colours that will create a positive effect on the flower arrangement.
Besides colour, the process of arranging itself is very important. What we like about this book, it does not only teach you how to arrange flowers, but also tell you what type of flowers are suitable to be used in the project.
The book is good for beginners as well as experts as they contain both projects that the beginners and experts can handle.
